On May 6, President Biden announced the nomination of David Pekoske for a second 5-year term as TSA Administrator.

TSA Administrator David P. Pekoske announced new members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC). CAA President, Steve Alterman was reappointed for a 2-year term and currently serves as Chair.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) published its 5-year strategic vision for modernizing, streamlining, and further securing air cargo transportation operations. The Air Cargo Security Roadmap is designed to help TSA and air cargo industry stakeholders identify and address emerging threats and ensure the efficient flow of commerce.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued an RFI seeking public input on complying with international security screening standards. CAA supports TSA’s intention to provide an alternative or alternatives to 100% screening to comply with the applicable ICAO standards. Other other risk-based, outcome-focused, security measures can accomplish the same or greater levels of security and should also be part of any alternative frameworks.
