CAA approaches advocacy in a purposeful way cultivating and advancing favorable policy that impacts our air cargo industry members. We promote a legislative, legal, and regulatory environment that supports the air cargo supply chain while serving as a primary resource for policymakers.
Safety is our number one priority. All-cargo airlines are fully regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as Part 121 certificated air carriers. We are proud of our safety record and CAA advocates to ensure the highest level of safety in the air cargo industry.
The Cargo Airline Association and its members are continuously involved in efforts to balance our impact on the environment and reducing our environmental footprint with a growing all-cargo industry. Investing in new, quieter aircraft, supporting alternative fuels, and working with government leaders domestically and internationally to minimize noise and emissions through new procedures and operations are just some ways the industry is making progress in the environmental arena.
As the voice for the all-cargo air cargo industry, the Association advocates and represents the members of the industry on a variety of policy issues.
Cargo operations are unique and even within the all-cargo air carriers, there are a multitude of operational models ranging from express, heavy freight, and charter. A one-size-fits-all approach to security does not work for the all-cargo industry. Rather, risk-based, threat-based methods provide the greatest level of security while recognizing differences.
