Washington, D.C. – The Cargo Airline Association (CAA), the leading voice of the air cargo industry, congratulates David Cummins on his confirmation as Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Mr. Cummins assumes leadership of the agency at a critical time as the aviation sector continues to strengthen security, enhance resilience, and facilitate the efficient movement of commerce across the United States and around the world.
Cummins brings executive experience from more than two decades in the private sector leading transportation, technology, mobility, and government services operations. His work improving the movement of people through complex systems while maintaining the highest safety standards directly aligns with TSA’s mission of securing and facilitating the movement of people and commerce.
“We are pleased to see David Cummins confirmed as TSA Administrator,” said CAA President Lauren Beyer. “Maintaining a strong, risk-based security framework while ensuring the efficient flow of commerce is essential to our nation’s economic and national security.”
Cummins’s confirmation comes at an important time, as TSA and the air cargo industry continue to address evolving threats, modernize cargo security programs, and leverage innovation to strengthen the security of the global air cargo supply chain.
