David Pekoske’s term as TSA Administrator is set to expire in August 2022. On May 6, President Biden announced the nomination of Pekoske for a second 5-year term.
Pekoske, who previously served as the 26th vice commandant of the Coast Guard, was confirmed as TSA’s seventh administrator in August 2017. He leads 60,000 employees which oversees security operations at 440 U.S. airports. TSA also has responsibility for securing our nation’s highways, railroads and public transportation systems.
