Washington, D.C. – The Cargo Airline Association (CAA) issued the following statement on U.S. Senate confirmation of Daniel J. Edwards as Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT):

“Throughout his service at DOT and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Edwards has demonstrated steady leadership and a strong understanding of aviation’s essential role in supporting America’s economy and supply chains.
“At a time of growing global competition and increasing demands on the aviation system, Edwards understands the importance of maintaining America’s leadership in international aviation, while supporting the efficient movement of cargo that businesses and consumers rely on every day.
