Today, the Cargo Airline Association released the statement below:
“We strongly support passage of H.R. 6086, the Aviation Funding Solvency Act. This bipartisan legislation is critical to ensuring the safety, continuity, and reliability of the nation’s aviation system during government funding lapses.
Cargo airlines depend on a fully staffed and paid federal workforce to keep goods moving safely and efficiently across the country and around the world. Government shutdowns unnecessarily disrupt aviation operations, strain the workforce, and jeopardize supply chains that American businesses, communities and consumers rely on. H.R. 6086 responsibly uses aviation user-paid funds to ensure essential Federal Aviation Administration professionals are paid and essential government functions continue without interruption.
CAA urges the Committee to advance this commonsense bill and protect the aviation system from avoidable and damaging disruptions.”
