Washington, D.C. – The Cargo Airline Association (CAA), the leading voice of the air cargo industry, congratulates Bryan Bedford on his confirmation as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). With decades of executive leadership in the aviation industry, Bedford brings a deep understanding of the operational and policy challenges facing the sector, along with a strong track record of stakeholder collaboration and strategic vision.
“We are pleased to see Bryan Bedford confirmed as FAA Administrator,” said CAA President Lauren Beyer. “His extensive experience and knowledge of the issues, like strengthening aviation safety and modernizing our air traffic control system, will be invaluable as the FAA moves forward.”
Bedford’s confirmation comes at a pivotal time for the air cargo industry, as the FAA works to usher in the next generation of air traffic control (ATC) systems and technologies and navigates complex cross-industry issues such as new 5G spectrum allocation and next generation radio altimeter development and deployment. His commitment to communication and cooperation across government, commercial aviation, and technology sectors will be critical during this transformational time.
“We look forward to working with Administrator Bedford to ensure the air cargo network remains safe, resilient, and globally competitive,” added Beyer. “We’re confident he will be a strong partner in supporting the continued growth and modernization of the aviation system.”
CAA also extends sincere appreciation to FAA Acting Administrator Chris Rocheleau for his leadership during the transition.
“We are grateful for Chris’s steady guidance and dedication to the FAA’s mission at such a critical time for aviation,” said Beyer.
